As a landscape architect you'll create landscapes and plan, design and manage open spaces, including both natural and built environments. Your work will provide innovative and aesthetically pleasing environments for people to enjoy, while ensuring that changes to the natural environment are appropriate, sensitive and sustainable
The Job Scope
Oversee the design of a variety of projects
Establish general landscape requirements with clients
Accurately prepare and present detailed plans and working drawings of the re-design of the new site
Present proposals to clients, deal with enquiries and negotiate any amendments to the final design
Match the client's wishes with your knowledge of what will work best
Contact and coordinate manufacturers and suppliers
Put work out to tender, select a contractor and manager (mainly for larger projects), and lead cross-functional teams
Ensure deadlines are met
Liaise with other professionals on the project
Monitor and check work on site
Authorize payment once work has been satisfactorily completed
Attend public inquiries to give evidence if necessary
Generate new business opportunities.

Academic Requirement
Degree in Landscape Architecture

Salary Range
FRESH GRADUATE
An early career Landscape Architect with 1-4 years of experience earns an average total compensation (includes tips, bonus, and overtime pay) of RM 27,600 or RM 2,300 a month.
SENIOR LEVEL
A mid-career Landscape Architect with 5-9 years of experience earns an average total compensation of RM 52,800 or RM 4,400 a month)
