Cosmetic Specialist
Job Description
The Cosmetic Specialist is responsible for providing professional beauty and skincare advice to customers, recommending suitable products or treatments, and delivering excellent customer service. This role plays a key part in enhancing customer experience, achieving sales targets, and representing the brand professionally.
The Job Scope
- Provide personalised consultation on skincare, cosmetics, and beauty products based on customer needs and skin concerns
- Demonstrate products and explain benefits, usage, and aftercare
- Promote and achieve individual and team sales targets
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships and client loyalty
- Stay updated on product knowledge, promotions, and beauty trends
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and visual merchandising standards
- Assist with stock management, inventory checks, and basic reporting
- Support marketing activities, product launches, and in-store events
- For clinic-based roles: assist in explaining aesthetic treatments and post-treatment care

Academic Requirement

Minimum SPM / O-Level or equivalent

Diploma or certificate in Beauty, Aesthetics, Cosmetology, Skincare, Cosmetics Science, or related areas is advantageous and may strengthen candidacy.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Beauty Science, Cosmetic Science, Marketing, Business, Communications, Hospitality, or related fields.
Salary Range

Base Salary
RM2,000 – RM4,000 (entry to mid-level retail/beauty specialist)

Performance-based (can significantly increase earnings)

Total Potential Earnings
RM4,000 – RM7,000+ depending on experience, sales performance, and role complexity.
