Job Description

A chiropractor's job involves diagnosing and treating neuromusculoskeletal issues, primarily using hands-on spinal adjustments and manipulations, alongside other therapies like massage and exercise, to relieve pain and improve function, requiring strong diagnostic skills, excellent communication, and the ability to create treatment plans and educate patients on lifestyle factors for better health.

The Job Scope


  • Assess the patient’s spine, posture, and reflexes to provide the appropriate treatment.
  • Administering holistic treatments, such as spinal manipulation, adjustments, massage, and hot and cold compresses
  • Perform neuromusculoskeletal therapy by adjusting the patient’s spine and other joints.
  • Working with patients to identify health concerns and create a plan for treatment or management.
  • Adhering strictly to ethical principles and professional standards outlined in regulatory guidelines and organisational policies.

Academic Requirement


 
Minimum Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chiropractic or equivalent

Licensing / Registration:
  • Valid Malaysian Traditional and Complementary Medicine (T&CM) practicing license

 

 

Salary Range


  • Fresh Graduate (0–2 years)
    ≈ RM3,000 – RM5,000 per month
    Typical entry offers from clinics often start around RM3,000–RM4,000 and can be slightly higher in urban areas or established practices.
  • Mid Senior Level (3–8 years)
    ≈ RM5,000 – RM8,000 per month
    Experienced practitioners with proven skills and solid patient base often earn in this range, with many private clinics offering competitive pay.
  • Senior / Manager Level (8+ years or leadership role)
    ≈ RM8,000 – RM12,000+ per month
    Senior clinicians, lead chiropractors, or managers can earn at the upper end of the market, especially when bonuses, commissions, and patient growth incentives are included. Some roles report salaries up to RM15,000+ in private practice with strong performance.
