Job Description
A Public Relations (PR) Specialist manages communication between an organisation and the public to establish a positive brand image and reputation. You will write press releases, create communication strategies, handle media inquiries, and work closely with marketing and leadership teams to promote initiatives and build strong stakeholder relationships. PR Specialists also manage crisis communication when reputational issues arise, ensuring messaging is clear, consistent, and professional. In a world where social media and digital platforms shape public perception, this role is essential for organisations of all sizes.

The Job Scope
- Develop and implement PR campaigns and communication strategies
- Write press releases, speeches, articles, and briefing materials
- Build and maintain media contacts and stakeholder relationships
- Monitor media coverage and public sentiment
- Coordinate press conferences, events, and interviews
- Handle crisis communication and reputation management

Academic Requirement
Degree in Communications / Public Relations / Marketing

A-Level
Minimum 2 principal passes, including English or relevant subjects -
STPM
Minimum 2 principal passes and credit in English at SPM -
SPM / O-Level
Minimum 5 credits including English and Bahasa Malaysia -
Diploma
Diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field -
Foundation
Foundation in Arts, Social Sciences, or Business
Salary Range

Fresh Graduate:
RM3,000 – RM4,200

Mid-Level:
RM4,500 – RM7,000

Senior / Specialist:
RM7,500 – RM12,000+
